ODTU OLBA Vessel Repair and Maintenance — Mersin

The vessel ODTU OLBA underwent a comprehensive ship repair and maintenance programme carried out by DM Denizcilik ve Gemi Bakım Onarım Ltd. Sti. Following completion of the works, the vessel was successfully launched in Mersin, Türkiye. Covering everything from hull steel renewal and superstructure repair to surface preparation, protective coating and the launching operation, the project was completed by our experienced field team and engineers in approximately 10 weeks.

Works Carried Out

1	STEP 1 Structural Survey and Preparation The vessel was moved to the working area, where the hull structure, frames and stiffeners were surveyed in detail; the areas to be renewed were identified and the work plan was prepared.
2	STEP 2 Hull Steel Renewal and Welding Steel renewal was carried out in the identified areas; the newly fitted panels were joined to the hull with full-penetration, watertight weld seams.
3	STEP 3 Structural Repair of Bow and Stern Structural welding and grinding works were completed at the bow and stern sections, restoring the hull form and strength.
4	STEP 4 Superstructure Repair and Crane Installation After the wheelhouse and superstructure block were repaired and prepared, they were precisely installed onto the deck by crane.
5	STEP 5 Surface Preparation and Protective Coating Following surface preparation, primer, underwater protective coating and the final coat were applied; the rudder and propeller area was inspected.
6	STEP 6 Launching — Mersin The completed vessel was safely launched in Mersin by crane operation and handed over.
