Crane Pedestal Fabrication — LIEBHERR CBG360

DM Denizcilik successfully completed the fabrication and installation of a custom ship-mounted crane pedestal designed specifically for the LIEBHERR CBG360 deck crane. The heavy steel structure required to safely integrate this high-capacity crane into the ship's deck was delivered end-to-end — from design, cutting and welding to on-site installation and load testing — in coordination with our solution partner Akın Metal.

Works Carried Out

1	STEP 1 Steel Plate Preparation and Cutting EH36 grade 50 mm steel plates were measured and cut; weld-edge preparation and surface cleaning were carried out.
2	STEP 2 Curved Segment Forming The pedestal form was bent into curved segments and tack-fitted, preparing it for fabrication.
3	STEP 3 Spider Ring Structure The heavy steel bearing ring and radial arms were fabricated as a high-strength spider structure.
4	STEP 4 Cylindrical Body Welding The cylindrical pedestal body was welded together with radial stiffeners; grinding and weld inspections were completed.
5	STEP 5 Installation and Load Testing The pedestal was precisely installed onto the ship deck and commissioned after final checks and load testing.
