BERKAY Ship Hatch Cover Maintenance & Repair

The hatch cover maintenance and repair of the ship BERKAY was successfully completed by DM Denizcilik. The hatch cover securing cleats (wedge mechanism) were overhauled, worn parts renewed and the necessary welding works on deck were completed on schedule under challenging winter conditions.

Works Carried Out

1	STEP 1 Hatch Cover Cleat / Wedge Repair The hatch cover securing cleats (wedge mechanism) were removed and overhauled; worn and deformed parts were renewed, reinforced by welding and re-adjusted for a proper seal.
2	STEP 2 Deck Welding Works Necessary welding works were carried out on deck; related steel connections and fittings were repaired and returned to working order.

All works were carried out in line with safety and quality standards under challenging winter conditions, and the vessel was redelivered to her owners on schedule.
